Home Groups
A large number of Trinity members and friends are now taking part in Home Groups which meet for a short series of 3 or 4 monthly meetings for Bible-based discussion around issues relating to a particular theme. There are some 8 groups meeting in various homes, day-time and evening, and the average size of a group is 8 to 10 people. These home groups started in 2001 in response to the 'Our Calling' exercise and are now established as a permanent feature of Trinity's spiritual life, helping people to share their faith and draw closer together in fellowship.
Thursday Group
A monthly meeting on Thursday evenings for ladies which is well
supported and enjoys a varied programme of talks, visits and craft
work, and occasional parties. The group also organises the two Church
Fairs which provide very important funds for specific causes. Meetings
are either in the Conduit Centre, members' houses or other venues.
Evergreen Club
Some sixty members gather on the first Monday afternoon of each month
in the Conduit Centre hall for a varied programme of speakers and entertainment.
Refreshments are served and transport to and from home can be provided.
About one third of the club members attend Trinity for Sunday worship
and the remainder come from a wide area of the town so that this is an
important part of the church's outreach in the community.
Meeting Point
This group meets on the third Tuesday afternoon of each month. Those feeling isolated or who have recently been bereaved are invited to meet at 2.00pm in Conduit Centre for fellowship and informal conversation.
Prayers For Healing
A small group meets most Friday mornings at 10.00am in the George Herbert room to pray for the sick and those in need in the church and local community. Names are entered in the Prayer Support Book and these are read out in Intercessions at Sunday morning worship. Cards are sent to those for whom prayers are offered.
